Madison River for casting lessons and getting to know the basics of fly fishing. Once comfortable with the basics of fly fishing we will progress to focusing on feeding habits of trout, placement of flies for best possibility for catching a fish, and identification of aquatic insects to help give a better understanding of the decision process while tying on flies at a particular river. These trips are mainly for the first timers or beginner who has been out a handful of times and wants to try their hand at catching a fish in YNP.
Intermediate:
These trips are intended for the angler who has had experience on the water before and are looking to catch some trout on new rivers in Yellowstone National Park. Trips will take anglers to the Gibbon, Firehole, Yellowstone, Lamar, and Gardiner Rivers. Generally there is great access to all these rivers with the more adventurous anglers finding some honey holes farther back where others don't frequent. These trips are designed to assist anglers with established fly fishing skills looking to improve their techniques or simply enjoy a day on the water while trying to catch some wild trout.
Advanced:
Our advanced trips will take you into the backcountry in search of possibly trophy sized fish native to Yellowstone National Park. These trips will be for the most experienced anglers that are ready to hike up to 15 miles in a day to find these elusive fish. These trips will also include a great chance at spotting wildlife along the way. River options: Slough Creek, the most famous Yellowstone Cutthroat river in the park with fish reaching up to 25 inches. There are many other secret backcountry opportunities depending on the clients needs/wants this will be at request and can be discussed before the trip.
