My name is Tauni Huddleston. I decided to start a company to show individuals/groups the world that saved my life. I started Casanova Guided Tours to help others see the wildlife, I love, in their raw settings.
I have spent many years photographing wildlife in many areas of the world but one place that has always had my heart was Yellowstone. I remember the first time that I saw a wolf(Four to be precise) and how that made me feel. The excitement, joy, relatedness, amongst many other feelings that stirred up inside of me. I couldn't get enough. I began returning so often that I felt like the park was my second home. I did my research on the wolf packs, monitored their behaviors and patterns and continued to fall even more in love with them.
My mission is to show a different side of the world to my customers, and to help them gain a better and deeper understanding of the sites, destinations and animals we visit and see. I will share with you the knowledge that I have gained over my many years of researching, observing and studying the wildlife in and around the park. If you’d like to tour with me, please get in touch so we can start discussing your tour of Yellowstone National Park or Grand Teton National Park.
From the wildlife packed valleys of Lamar and Hayden Valley to the rich thermal sites, let us take you to the most beautiful places within Americas first National Park. In the Jackson, WY area? Great! We also do Grand Teton National Park tours!
Casanova. What is in the name?
During my many hours spent in the park watching wolves and time spent reading stories of the wolves, beginning with the reintroduction in 1995, I fell in love with a few of the former wolves of Yellowstone. One of which was the nephew to MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WOLF, which is wolf 21.
His nephew, Casanova, or wolf 302M(m standing for male) did not start his life out as the best of leaders. He was careless, selfish, manipulating and yet, somehow, with these many flaws, he was a ladies magnet. Observers often wondered why so many female wolves flocked to him, because he was everything opposite of a normal intriguer. He ran from enemies, normally leaving the females far behind, he would push his limits and sneak females out of strong united packs, and he showed absolutely no leadership. But, he changed. It did not happen overnight and it did not happen in his early years at all but he ended up becoming the leader that a pack needed.
Like Casanova, I did not turn into a pack leader until later in my life. I wandered along, lost in this world before I finally became the leader that my pack needed. I lead and never follow. I protect and bare my teeth when needed. I provide and give all my love to those around me.
